When your pet is part of the journey too

In Quiberon, several areas allow you to enjoy the seaside with your dog.

The town has five dog-friendly beaches accessible all year round: Port-Puns, Port-Maria, the coves between the Kasino and Beg-er-Vil, Conguel beach and La Jument beach.

On these beaches, dogs remain under their owner’s responsibility and must be kept on a lead. The lead may be removed while the dog is swimming.

Outside the main season, there are even more possibilities, as access to the beaches is extended according to the periods set by the local authorities.

Perfect for starting the day with a few steps along the water’s edge, or enjoying an evening walk when the beach becomes quieter again.

Heading out into the open… without going very far

For those who enjoy walking, the Côte Sauvage offers a completely different landscape.

Cliffs, dunes, rocks and the Atlantic accompany the route for several kilometres.

Dogs on a lead are allowed on the designated paths, making it possible to enjoy a proper walk together facing the ocean.

Here, however, the sea is something to admire rather than swim in: swimming is prohibited long the entire Côte Sauvage because of the currents, swell and rocks.

In the end, there is no need to plan anything complicated. A lead, a good pair of shoes, a little time ahead of you… and the walk takes care of the rest.

In summer, slowing down is part of the holiday too

When temperatures rise, a few simple precautions make the day more enjoyable for everyone.

Fresh water, a little shade and avoiding long walks during the hottest hours are all useful ways to look after your companion.

Morning and evening walks have another advantage too: softer light, more comfortable temperatures and often a quieter atmosphere around the peninsula.

A good excuse to start early… or let the day last a little longer.
